5787 — ZAYIN: THE SWORD IN THE HAND OF THE BUILDERS Build With One Hand — Wield the Sword With the Other As we approach the Hebrew year 5787, my attention is drawn strongly to Zayin the seventh letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Zayin carries the numerical value of seven. Its ancient symbolism has been connected with a weapon or sword, and its form has even been likened to a sword—its upper portion resembling the handle and its descending stroke the blade. Prophetically, I believe this presents a powerful picture for the season ahead. The builders are arising — and the Sword is within their hands! Nehemiah gives us an extraordinary biblical image “With one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon.” Nehemiah 4:17 Warrior-builders are arising!
