The Spiritual Weapons
The Spiritual Weapons
Ephesians 1:7-10
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth-in Him.
The redemption by the blood of Jesus is not intended to merely assure that after we die, we will surely go to heaven. There is the work of the Spirit that we often do not realize, that comes along with the redemption and the new birth, which is the Father's good pleasure to put us in His eternal plan, that is to gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth.
In heaven, Christ has been glorified by the Father by seated Him at His right hand in heavenly places, for above everything else (Ephesians 1:20-21). The Father also gave Him the name above every name. So in the name of Jesus, every knee should bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:9-11); no exception all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named on the earth, everything has to bow down to the authority in the name of Jesus (Ephesians 1:21). The authority of the name of Jesus is given to the church (believers) as a weapon for us to make everything on the earth ready to make Jesus as the head, just like in heaven.
1. Everyone who experiences new birth, becomes a New Creation and has a seed of destiny in him. That seed will progressively grow when he lives his daily life with the heart that loves God. When he is overflowed with personal fellowship with God, he will have a motivation to do something for God.
Those motivations often experience constraints from our unrenewed basic thinking. Every time a motivation comes and moves us to do something, many voices come from our unrenewed mind and try to call us off from doing God's will. That is the time we need the power and authority in the name of Jesus to silence those voices of the enemy in our lives.
Psalm 8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, because of Your enemies, that You may silence the enemy and the avenger.
As long as the seed of destiny progressively grow in our lives, there will always guidance and motivation that move us to do something. What we respond to in obedience will position us to participate in making Christ as the head of all things on this earth, just like in heaven
2. Every believer is equipped with the power and authority in the name of Jesus, but we have to use our mouth to activate it.
One of spiritual weapons that the Father has prepared for every believer is declaration of the Word, but it has been forgotten because of the impact of the work of the religious spirits in the live of believers. Every believer has the potential to be actively involved in making Christ as the head of all things on the earth as they are equipped with the power and authority in the name of Jesus.
By that name, we will always be victorious in all aspects and conditions. The problem is that power of the name of Jesus can be activated when we use our mouth to make a declaration. We can overcome all hindrances and obstacles in our efforts to make Christ as the head of all things through prayers and declaration of the Word that we release to influence and change the spirit realm. The name of Jesus is powerful over all things!
Every believer who understands the power and authority in the name of Jesus will become the mighty instrument in his effort to be involved in making Christ as the head of all things (fulfilling his destiny in life). (Ps. Steven Agustinus)
