God's Miracles

Romans 1:17 (NASB)  For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "But the righteous man shall live by faith."
Galatians 2:20 (NASB)  "... it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me."

1 Peter 5:9 (NASB)  "But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world."
Faith life (Greek: Pistis - conviction in a truth) is the life foundation of every

New Creation. Whatever God has decreed over our life or over every situation we are facing, that's what we should make as our foundational belief in daily life. We don't walk our daily life based on external facts; what we see, feel or experience. We walk our life based on what God has said regarding that aspect! Even though what God said is contrary to the physical facts we face, we must choose to keep believing what God has said.

That's the way to enjoy God's miracles. We could say that miracle is a form of God's intervention in realising what He has decreed to His children who keep on believing.

I remembered a miracle story written by Mel Tari in the book 'Like a Mighty Wind' about water turned into wine.
Mel told about one time when he joined a preparation for a holy communion in Soe village, which were in the midst of a great Spirit outpouring. Since the outpouring, the church they usually go to often experience the miracle of well water turned into wine. Enticed to investigate the truth of the news, Mel decided to join the holy communion preparation in that church.

Before the service starts, the church elders took a jug to contain the well water before they pray for it to be turned into wine for the upcoming holy communion. To prevent the elders from using any tricks, Mel volunteered to draw the well water and poured it into the jug. Mel also volunteered to carry the jug to the clergy house while the elders are preparing a table to put the jug on to be prayed.

All elders are now standing together with Mel, circling the table with the jug on it. They all then prayed and worshipped God. After some time, a prophecy emerged from one of the elders. The prophecy revealed that God has turned the water into wine so that they could hold the holy communion.

After the prophecy have been delivered, they give thanks and ended their prayer together. Quickly, one of the elders took a spoon and tasted the jug's content. The elder commented outright, "Wow, this wine is very refreshing!" The second elder followed suit and he stated the same thing; the jug contains good wine. Mel didn't want to miss out. He quickly took the spoon and tasted. In the book he wrote, Mel makes a confession that he tasted well water! However, because he dare not 'deny' the two elders' testimony, he staid silent.

The third elder also tasted the jug's content, and again, the elder testified that the wine they tasted was so good.

After all elders finished tasted and come to a conclusion that the wine is truly good, they decided to bring it to the church. In curiosity due to being the only person to taste the jug's content as well water, Mel volunteered to bring the jug to the church. He thought that the elders may have conspired to lie and put something into the jug on the way to the church, so that the people will truly think that the well water has turned into wine.

The elders allowed Mel Tari to carry the jug covered with white cloth to the church. On the way, Mel deliberately pulled the edge of the white cloth so that it falls into the jug, and behold, purple liquid seeped into the cloth.

After the service ended, Mel quickly approached the elders to ask for clarification. Mel asked, "Is it true when father tasted the water inside the jug, it is truly wine? Because when I tasted it, I know for sure that it was plain water; well water! However, when I carried it to church, on the way I found out that the water inside the jug has turned into wine."

One of the elders answered, "Brother Mel, when we tasted the water, true, our tongue told us that it was plain, ordinary water. But because we have heard the prophetic voice stating that God has turned the plain water into wine, no matter what our taste bud tell us, we choose to believe and declare only what God has said."

That's the moment miracle takes place; God divinely intervenes!
Such is the kind of faith life God wants us to build within. #iLoveGod (Ps. Steven Agustinus)
