HIS MIGHTY ARMY

I felt in the spirit that churches in Indonesia are experiencing new acceleration and entering new spiritual season, because of the activity of the word and the Spirit in the lives of several key leaders. Once again, God is bringing His church to live in Him.

Ephesians 1:11 (NKJV) In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will

1. ’In Christ’ is an expression that Paul uses to describe spiritual dimension or position that every believer should be in.

For a long time, the condition of churches in Indonesia was the same as scattered dry bones (Ezekiel 37:1-14). Many leaders and members of church have lost God’s voice and are trapped in Babylonian life (worldly).

It happens because they unconsciously try to present God’s reality in humane ways. Just like David when he tried to carry the ark of God to Jerusalem in the same way as the Philistines did (using a cart), then death came (2 Samuel 6:1-8).

Spiritual death is sweeping through many churches. God’s reality is no longer present in church services. Religious routine, spiritual lukewarmness, and emotional sensationalism are what we can find in many churches today. Many church leaders invite public figures to speak in Sunday services just to maintain the attendance of the church.

In His grace, God touches several key leaders, whose hearts continue to seek for His reality, and God begins to give them His words. The work of His word activated the work of the Spirit, which changes those key leaders lives. They begin to enter life in His divinity (to live ‘in Him’). Through their lives, churches will experience breakthroughs and changes in spiritual position (begin to live ‘in Him’).

2. When a church (as a spiritual institution or a believer) is ‘in Him’, it will enjoy the portion that the Father has provided long before the world was created.

Churches or believers might live empty lives, have conflicts and feel defeated because they are ‘cut off’ from the position/spiritual dimension of being ‘in Christ’. But when they are brought in and live ‘in Christ’, they can once again have the gift of God to always have breakthroughs, live in God’s reality and victorious life.

Like a dry plant that suddenly gets running water, it will turn green again and grow healthy. That is the condition of many churches and believers. God is pleased to visit His people and promote them above all nations; and raise them up to be honorable, mighty and influential people.

I can see God is releasing the work of the word and the Spirit through leaders who are hungry and thirsty for His reality, so they can transform churches and believers who were originally like scattered dry bones into the living and mighty army of God.
