Growing In Divine Influence

Our environment and peers are very crucial. The letter of 1 Corinthians 15:33 wrote: Do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good morals." (NASB)

In other words, never underestimate friendship or activities where we constantly spend our time in. Because truly, 'whoever' we spend our time with will automatically start a process of influencing one another. If we are not in the position to give influence, it means that we are positioned as the one being influenced.

a. Influence could come from a person, an event, a spiritual dimension, or anything else

We must take heed of the influence coming into our life! We could receive negative and godly influence. At the same time, we could also be influenced by things that are external or humanistic - things that are good or even inspirational but are not divine!

It is these kinds of influence that in the end would make someone (content with) living externally, or at most, religiously. However, God is desiring for us to continuously live under the influence of Spirit power and His truth so we could enjoy a life that is accurate and pleasing before the Father's heart. Keep conditioning yourself to always be gripped by His divine influence!

b. Godly influence should be worked on to always occur in believers' (New Creations) life

Believers need strong, continuous influence of the Word and the Spirit. Without them, the tendency to be influenced by the Devil's lies and the shine of this world's glory is still prominent in their daily life. However, most believers still fail to have that level of needed divine influence due to classic excuses: being busy, having many things to take care of, and many others. In the end, without realizing, the believer who has the potential to live as a different man through the power of the word and the Spirit, are instead being dragged to live externally or humanistically again.

As long as the daily life of believers are not under the strong influence of the word and Spirit's power, they are positioning themselves to become 'victims' of the great spiritual war that keeps happening in the spirit realm.

Declaring the word, fervent prayer in prophecies and tongues, could condition every believer to keep growing in divine influence. That’s why I believe that disciplining ourselves to keep reading the word once an hour will condition us to constantly stay under divine influence and its power.
Keep persevering, keep being consistent! His grace is enough for you. Holy Spirit will surely help and enable you.

c. Divine influence in believers will make grow their character and charisma. This will position them to be ever-victorious, influential, and full of authority and power in their daily living.

Those who keep conditioning themselves to live under divine influence will find their lives to be like a 'branch abiding in the true vine' (John 15:1-7). Abilities and skills they don't initially have will start to sprout and grow; new capacity and potential starts to be built in their life. All of them will build a new reputation that they could never have naturally. The breakthrough, success and fortune happening in their day-to-day life will automatically position them to be an inspiration for others. God keeps projecting them as a solution for many others, for their community, their city, and even their nation. God Himself keeps on promoting their existence as a son of the King who presents the power and glory of the Kingdom. #iLoveGod (Ps. Steven Agustinus)
