THE FLOW OF LIFE IN GOD'S

The Flow Of Life In God's

If we observe the 'flow of life' in God's church today, oftentimes we feel pitiful. Success-oriented sermons have saturated the church, making church members lost the essence of the full Gospel’s understanding.

How many church members could explain in the detail the essence of Christ’s redeeming work? Not many in most cases. The reason is none other than Christ’s redeeming work being rarely taught and delivered. Churches taught and deliver more about worldly success compared to the redemptive work of Christ.

Today, God reminded me about many sin effects that until today keep gnawing on human life outside of Christ’s redemption.

The fall of the first man has bound humankind to behold and bear the effects of sin:

1. Mankind lost the image and glory of God (Gen 3:7-10)

Man was created in the image and likeness of God Himself - even created only a little lower from Elohim the Creator (Ps 8:5-6). Man was placed in Eden to be the garden's caretaker (Gen 2:8, 15-17), becoming executors of whatever He planned on this earth.

But Satan, taking form of a snake, tempted man to abandon their role as an executor to take position as an initiator! (Gen 3:4-5)

When man followed the snake more than God's word, man lost God's image - man starts to exhibit evil/devious nature from within.

Until today, that sin nature keeps on corrupting the civilization of man. Every person born in this world inherits sin nature within them; even a child could lie under pressure without being taught.

That's sin nature in mankind. Christ’s redeeming work, however, makes us 'dead' to that sin nature. We no longer become a living being made of dirt with Adam being our ancestor. Through Christ's atoning sacrifice, we are now New Creations; spiritual and heavenly beings created out of Spirit and Truth, with Christ being our ancestor (John 3:5-8, 1 John 3:19, 1 Cor 15:45-49).

2. Man experience moral degradation, leaving them to live under the control of negative emotions (Gen 3:11-13, 4:3-7)

The negative effects of Adam and Eve's fall showed outright in their behaviour. Man manifests devious and irresponsible nature; tend to look for excuses to blame others. Just look at man's response when God asked for their accountability and repentance; they put the blame on others.

Mankind's degradation became worse during Cain and Abel's time. Man become easily controlled by the turmoil of negative emotions, living increasingly evil from day to day. Cain manifested the nature of demons and unclean spirits - the spirit of murder - and killed his brother Abel (Gen 4:3-11).

3. Man lived under curse (Gen 3:16-19, 4:11-12)

Before the fall of man, whatever they need in daily living, has been provided by the Father in the Garden of Eden. No pressure of necessities existed; man could fully live focused on becoming executors of the Kingdom of Heaven on this earth.

However, since the fall, daily needs become the main focus to be pursued and fulfilled - which in these end times becoming increasingly burdensome on mankind's life (Gen 3:17-19, Eph 5:16, 2 Tim 3:1).

In result, man's daily life becomes full of stress, struggle and complications; rife with events and circumstances that makes life feels hard, stifling, emotionally-draining and energy-leeching. A life that makes people easily lose heart, feels despondent or frustrated.

4. Man lived in suffering, poverty and sickness (Gen 3:23-24)

Effects of sin always destroy what God has given into the lives of men. Mankind lost everything they had and enjoyed in Eden.

Man's daily life becomes increasingly heavy and full of stress. Even being plagued by various sicknesses are all effects of sin continuously working in the lives of those outside of Christ.

5. Man could experience physical death.

Death is the ultimate effect of sin; even the Old Testament saints physically died because sin still linger in their lives. But praise the Lord, because all those sin effects have been paid in full by Christ through His death on the cross!

It is through the offering of Christ on the cross that mankind could experience total transformation (Col 1:19-20).

As New Creations, we no longer live under curse, no more degradation/decay in every aspect of our lives. All power of the devil, demons and unclean spirits are fully severed. Even the power of sickness and death no longer applies over our life!

The power of Christ's atonement has fully transferred us out of darkness into His marvellous light. We no longer have the past; only the future (2 Cor 5:17, Gal 2;19-20). Moreover, through the work of His Spirit and word, we who believe are given the authority to rule and reign in this life like kings; the Spirit of Resurrection who raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him together with the Father, will also work in our lives to seat us together with Christ - far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named (Eph 1:15-23)].

This is the Gospel of the Kingdom supposedly believed and preached by all believers. #iLoveGod (Ps. Steven Agustinus)
