HE IS GOD

HE IS GOD

Ecclesiastes 9:12 (NET) Surely, no one knows his appointed time! Like fish that are caught in a deadly net, and like birds that are caught in a snare— just like them, all people are ensnared at an unfortunate time that falls upon them suddenly.

In my prayer and word meditation, Holy Spirit suddenly led me to give more attention to the verse above. When I kept meditating upon it, God planted several things in my heart:

1. Disaster, accidents or hard times could suddenly come upon us, just like a fish caught in a net, or like a bird caught in a snare – however, our response in facing all of them will determine our next victory!

Sometimes in life, we can be ‘knocked down’ by several (or many) bad things that happen, especially of all of them barrage us one after another. However, as long as we want to keep strengthening our heart with the promises of His word – so our hope and faith won’t fade – we will surely rise again! What doesn't kill you will make you stronger and mightier than before! That’s why, every time we must face all kinds of ‘blows of life’, we must keep strengthening the foundation of our conviction!

1 Samuel 30:6 (NASB) Moreover David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all the people were embittered, each one because of his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

By constantly strengthening our conviction in God’s love, faithfulness, and provision, the strength of hope in our soul will never fade. We can use it as a ‘starting point’ to rise again – to be stronger than before!

2. As believers, it is our duty to build a ‘different lifestyle’ from most people in this world – to become a ‘Sign and Wonder’ for others.

Normally, those who are stricken by problems, misfortunes, incidents or all kinds of negative events will become sad, hopeless, or even frustrated and carry prolonged trauma in their life. But that’s not the portion of us believers! We live from God’s promises, not from facts that we are facing in the natural; we live a life that manifests the victorious spirit, not a life that has been molded by this world!

Although it sounds so inhumane – we may not feel sad or troubled in the midst of tragedy – but by feeling sad, will it change the condition to be better?

By directing our mind and heart to focus on God’s word and promises, we can filter out the various thoughts that are passing through our mind. We can ensure that the Devil’s thoughts don’t get sown into our life. For the Devil’s purpose in sowing his thoughts is to destroy our conviction and hope in the Lord; making us doubt His love, existence, and provision upon our lives.

Everyone can suddenly be plagued by misfortune, but when we face it, we have to face it with a spirit that is victorious and full of thanksgiving! That’s what makes us a ‘Sign and Wonder’ – a sign that God will always reveal His presence and reality upon His people, especially when they are going through hard times! He is still with His people, strengthening them and making sure that they come out as a victor! He carries His people across hard times with a spirit that is victorious and full of thanksgiving!

When many people see the ‘Sign’ that God has revealed through our everyday life, surely, many of them will desire to enjoy the same things: victorious in everything and is always filled with gratitude! That’s the time when they will flock us, desiring to be guided so they could enjoy the same divine life that we have! And God positions us as a ‘Wonder’ for many people, so they could enjoy the same Divine things that we’ve had!

It is time. Through our daily life, and through the various events we must face, we send a different message and frequency of life to this world: we send out a frequency of victorious living in everything! It will fight back the frequency of life that is full of pressure, sorrow or mourning that is carried by many people in this world!

Regardless of whatever things we must face, we will face them with a spirit of victory and thanksgiving! #ILoveGod
